Frequently Asked Questions

What products do you review?

On FiTiQ, I only review products, apps, and services that pass one simple test:
Will this improve someone’s quality of life in a meaningful way?

That means I don’t waste time on gimmicks or trendy gear that looks good on Instagram but does nothing in the real world. Everything I feature has been personally tested, often in the same way I used it during my own recovery and training.

You’ll find reviews in categories like:

  • Fitness & Recovery Tools – resistance bands, mobility gear, massage devices, breathing trainers, posture supports, etc.

  • Health Tech & Wearables – smartwatches, trackers, sleep monitors, recovery analytics devices.

  • Nutrition & Kitchen Tools – meal prep gadgets, blenders, protein products, nutrient scanners (including my own app concept).

  • Accessibility & Everyday Living Aids – tools that make movement, communication, or daily tasks easier.

  • Mindset & Mental Wellness Apps – guided meditation, habit trackers, and focus tools.

If it’s on my blog, it’s because I’ve used it, stress-tested it, and decided it’s worth sharing with someone who’s ready to take control of their health, recovery, and daily life.

What is FiTiQ Blog?

FiTiQ stands for Fitness, Tenacity, and Quality of Life — the three pillars that got me from an ICU bed to where I am today.

  • Fitness because rebuilding my body wasn’t optional; it was the foundation for reclaiming my independence.

  • Tenacity because recovery takes stubbornness — the kind where you keep going even when the results are microscopic.

  • Quality of Life because survival alone isn’t enough; you deserve to live well, not just live.

The “Q” at the end isn’t just for “quality” — it’s a reminder that your quality of life is unique to you. What works for me may not be what works for you, but the principles of movement, mindset, and smart tools can be adapted for anyone.

This blog is where I combine my personal journey, my background in psychology and personal training, and my passion for tech that improves daily living — all to help others rise, rebuild, and reactivate their own lives.

How can I get inspired?

The more you wait for "inspiration" or the right "moment" you'll be 80's years old wondering what you did all life...

  • Start small, but start now.
Don’t wait for the perfect mood or conditions. Take one action — even if it’s tiny — and let that momentum feed you.

  • Find proof it’s possible.
Look for stories, people, and examples that show the result you want exists. That’s why I tell my story — so someone else can borrow my proof until they find their own.

  • Surround yourself with fuel, not friction.
Remove what drains you and lean into what pushes you forward — music, people, tools, or spaces that make you want to show up.

  • Track your progress.
When you see even the smallest wins stack up, you realize you’re moving, even on the hard days.

Do I need to be recovering from a major health event to benefit from this blog?

Not at all. The principles of building strength, resilience, and a better quality of life apply to anyone — whether you’re bouncing back from surgery, battling burnout, or just wanting to feel better every day.

Who is this blog for?

This blog is for anyone who refuses to settle for “just getting by.”

It’s for:

  • Survivors who are told what they can’t do — and are ready to prove otherwise.

  • Everyday people who want more energy, strength, and confidence in their daily life.

  • The curious and the driven who love finding tools, tech, and strategies to make life easier, healthier, and more fulfilling.

  • Those in recovery — from illness, injury, or burnout — who want a realistic, hopeful path forward.

  • Fitness seekers who value function and longevity over quick fixes and fads.

Whether you’re bouncing back from a major health event, pushing past a plateau, or just looking for a smarter way to live well, you’ll find two things here:

  1. Real stories that prove it’s possible.

  2. Actionable strategies to help you make it happen for yourself.

If you’ve ever thought, “I know there’s more in me than what life has handed me,” this is your space.

What makes FiTiQ different from other fitness or wellness blogs?

I’ve lived what I teach. This isn’t theory pulled from a textbook — it’s experience forged in an ICU bed, refined through years as a personal trainer, and powered by tools that actually work in real life. I also merge fitness, psychology, and tech, so you get a well-rounded approach.

What can I expect from the FiTiQ Blog?

Two things:

  1. Real stories — my own and others’ — that show what’s possible when you refuse to give up.

  2. Actionable strategies — workouts, mindset tools, tech recommendations, and recovery tips you can apply today
